We made a bar for our kitchen island. Our island turned out to be quite small after installation (new-build home), so we expanded it with an oak bar. This looks much more spacious!

DIY: Upgrade your kitchen island!

We first looked for ideas on the internet and then came across TOSIZE.fr. We saw many different and fun projects here! We had the wood cut to the millimeter by them. So that the wood would fall exactly over the island. We glued and sealed the oak wood to our kitchen island. We treated the wood with skylt to retain its natural color. The wood is now protected against influences from the kitchen.
